How we rank Webflow freelancers: the scoring method

Every freelancer on top10websitedevelopers.com is scored by the same seven criteria, weighted to 100, from public pages: Webflow profiles and the partner directory, Upwork, Contra and each person's own website. This page gives the exact formulas, the weights used on this site, a worked example with real numbers and the points of all ten people in the main ranking.

Criteria and weights

Seven criteria, each worth 0 to 1 point. The weights on top10websitedevelopers.com add up to 100.

Points per criterion

For every freelancer the seven point values are computed the same way. Marketplace record uses a natural logarithm so that the first 20 jobs count for more than the next 80; 100 or more gives the full point.

Here R is the marketplace record, N the project count, A the number of technical areas and Y the full years on Webflow. Partner tier (p₁), published price (p₆) and availability (p₇) take the fixed values 0, 0.5 or 1 from the table above.

Weighted score

The weighted score is the sum of weight times points, so it runs from 0 to 100.

Two people with the same S keep the order in which the editors listed them. In a sub-ranking sorted by a fact, such as the hourly rates ranking, an equal fact falls back to S.

From weighted score to 7.50–9.80

The display score maps S linearly: the highest weighted score in the main ranking, 94.90 (Alex Glevsky), becomes 9.80, and the lowest weighted score of anyone shown on top10websitedevelopers.com, 37.33 (Carlo Ciccarelli), becomes 7.50. The result is rounded to two decimals.

Sub-rankings

Each sub-ranking takes the people in the data set who pass its filter, orders them, keeps up to its stated size and shows the same display score. On Webflow freelancer hourly rates 2026 the #1 of the main ranking is not first, because the order follows a single fact.

Best Webflow developers to hire: the job title as stated contains “develop” or “engineer”; ordered by score; 10 people.

Overlap with New York hours on the US companies ranking counts the hours shared by a person's 9:00–17:00 working day in their own time zone and a 9:00–17:00 day in New York, on 2026-09-21. With o the person's UTC offset and e the New York offset on that date:

Sources, dates and missing values

Every fact comes from a public page: the person's own website, their Webflow profile, Upwork or Contra. Each value is stored with its source URL and the date it was checked; the facts on this site were checked 2026-09-21. A value that no public page gives is shown as “not published” with the check date and earns 0 points for its criterion. Non-US-dollar rates are converted at the European Central Bank reference rate named in the data.
